Dre’ Abadie is a veteran who joined Industry after completing 25+ years as an Army Signal Officer. He closed his career in Austin, Texas at Army Futures Command where he was highly regarded for an unparalleled balance of technical competence and operational experience. He was actively sought out by AFC leadership for advice regarding the development and delivery of Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2).
Upon his arrival to Army Futures Command, Dre’ was tasked to lead the planning team designing and developing Project Convergence—the Army’s premier technology demonstration and experimentation activity integrating signature modernization efforts and select Joint technologies to inform how the Department of Defense will fight and organize in the future. His expertise ensured the team matured use case detail to include operational architectures, information exchange requirements, and data connectivity. Project Convergence, when executed in the Fall of 2021, was widely considered the most significant Joint experimentation in the last 15 years. Now moving towards a fifth iteration, Project Convergence has established a lasting impact as the U.S. Army continues its transformation journey.
Prior to his final tour at Army Futures, Dre’ served as the G3 of a Theater Signal Command, the G6 of a maneuver Division, and the Senior Watch Officer of USCYBERCOM. He holds a doctorate in cybersecurity from George Mason University and a degree in Computer Engineering from the United States Military Academy.
