Dr. Williams is owner of MEW Consulting and co-owner of EIOrg Consulting, providing services to her clients in the areas of strategic planning and communications, organizational development, and program management.
After a 25-year career in the Navy, Dr. Williams joined the staff of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering as a consultant. Her most notable involvement was as with the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Task Force where she played a key role in the manufacture and deployment of over 27,000 life-saving MRAPs. Her strengths in strategic planning, Congressional affairs, program review, and financial management have also been used to support the Defense Laboratories Office, STEM Program Office, the Office of Net Technical Assessment and the Defense Science Board as a Program Manager and Lead Analyst.
Dr. Williams graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and her postgraduate degrees include a Master of Science in Management from Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. She also earned her Doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning from George Washington University where she also served as an adjunct professor in the Organizational Leadership and Learning Master’s Program.
